Serafín Castillo

I am a wedding photographer living in Nerja, a picturesque town on the southern coast of Spain. Although my initial training was at university, where I studied to become a teacher and educator, photography entered my life in an unexpected yet profoundly transformative way. It was at that moment that I decided to study at an art school, allowing me to combine my passion for imagery with my pedagogical skills.

Over the years, I have specialized in wedding photography, a field that enables me to capture authentic, emotional, and meaningful moments. My first major achievement in this industry was becoming a finalist for "Rookie of the Year" in Europe—an accolade that marked the beginning of my professional career.

From there, my work began to take me beyond the borders of my country. I started photographing weddings outside my local area, which allowed me to gain recognition in major international magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and other prestigious publications. My passion for storytelling through images has led me to photograph weddings all over the world, giving me the opportunity to capture the essence of celebrations in places as diverse as Europe, America, and Asia.

What makes my work unique is the combination of my experience as both an educator and a photographer. Over the years, I have shared my knowledge worldwide, giving lectures and workshops that not only teach photography techniques but also inspire others to connect with the magic of each event and learn to capture the unique essence of every wedding.

For me, photography is not just a profession—it is a way to tell stories, to connect with the emotions of couples and their families, and to preserve those fleeting moments that will never happen again. Every wedding is a new challenge, a new opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime.
